Christmas Decorations: How To Make Mini-Christmas Trees
64
Make your own Christmas decoration by following these simple, fun, and easy-to-do steps.
Materials Needed:
- Empty tissue paper roll
- Green and white thin cartolinas
- Brown art paper
- Small pieces of red artpaper
- Scissors, some transparent tape, and glue
Step 1:
Cut a dinner-plate sized circle on the green cartolina. Cut a circle that’s a bit smaller on the white cartolina. Cut another smaller circle on the green one and then a smaller one on the white one. Continue until you have 6 circles getting smaller in this pattern: green, white, green, white, green, white.
Step 2:
Fold and cut each circle in half; you’ll only be using one-half of each circle. Curl each semi-circle into a cone, overlapping the edges a little. Tape the edges together firmly so the cones don’t fall apart.
Step 3:
Cut a zigzag pattern along the bottom of all the green cones and a wavy pattern along the bottom of the white cones. Then stack them up in order of size and glue them all together. Gently fold up the zigzag edges of the green cones to create a leafy effect.
Step 4:
For your tree stand, cover the tissue roll with brown artpaper (or paint it brown if you like), and stick it under the cones. To decorate, crumple up some small pieces of red artpaper into balls and glue them securely onto the tree. You now have a Mini-Christmas Tree for the coming holiday season!
